Hi everyone!

Since a large number of our team and many of our regular guests will not be in town this week,
we decided to take a one week break from 58watt.
We will resume our regular Wednesday
get-togethers next week on Wed., Dec. 1!

I pray that you all have a blessed holiday, and that you have much for which to give thanks to our Lord!
I know that I sure do!

Peace!

It's been a while...

Hey all!

I know it's been a while, but I have a good announcement for you!
We have another free concert coming up on August 11!

Come out and hear Natalie Creel and Tim Serdynski wrap up their
Not Alone Again tour at 58watt coffeeshop!
As always, everything's free.

Bring some friends.

Peace - and we hope to see you there!

Late opening Feb 17th!

Everyone, please note that tonight, Feb. 17th, we'll be opening a
bit later than normal - probably around 5:45 or 6:00 - in order to
allow our crew to attend Ash Wednesday services at church.

We'll be there as soon as we can afterwards, so if you're there before
us, just hang out and we'll be there! :-)

Thanks,
Bruce and the 58watt crew

58watt is open again, starting tonight, Jan 6th

Some hot coffee will taste and feel REALLY good tonight!
Come join us at 58watt for a good, hot beverage (coffee, tea,
hot chocolate), some fine donuts, and some good conversation.

You know where to find us, right across the street from Southeast
Middle School, between the piles of blue pipe! If you've never been,
look for the hurricane- and construction-beaten sign near the driveway,
turn in and go to the "OPEN" sign!

We look forward to seeing our old friends and making some new ones
tonight!

And, for the last time for about 11 months, Merry CHRISTmas!

We're open - REALLY!

Hi everyone!

Even with the construction starting on S Harrell's Ferry, and several large
piles of blue water pipes out front, we ARE still open on Wednesday nights!
Come in and share a nice cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate; the latest news;
some donuts; whatever!

With Christmas on Friday this year, we expect that lots of you will be traveling
or busy on Wednesday that week, so we're going to be closed on Dec 23rd.

That means that the New Year also starts on Friday of the following week.
Most of our team will be unavailable that Wednesday, too. So, much as I
hate to say it - we'll be closed for the holidays on Dec. 23rd and 30th.

Please come visit with us this week or next and then after the first of the year!

Tonight (Aug 26)

Hey Everyone,

If you haven't had a chance to write a note to Jay already,
please take a few minutes and do so. If you can bring them
to 58watt tonight, we'll deliver them to Jay for you.

If you can't get it done by tonight - please do so as soon
as possible. He will be meeting with the negotiator real soon.

Thanks, and see you at 58watt,
Bruce

An important request from the 58watt team!

Hi All,

As you may know, Jay's Donuts has been graciously supplying us with mountains
of donuts every week for over a year - for FREE!

What you may or may not know is that Jay's will be closing when the construction
gets underway at the corner of O'Neal and S Harrell's Ferry!
This will be a sad day for our neighborhood.

Jay is in negotiations with the parish regarding the valuation of his property.
We are hoping that if Jay gets enough compensation, he will be able to reopen
somewhere nearby.

I ask that each of you take 5 or 10 minutes and write a letter to Jay, expressing
your thanks for his generosity and his support for/involvement in the betterment
of our neighborhood.

Please do so as soon as possible, sign them and either bring or mail them to him
at the shop. He will see that they get to the parish's negotiator. It doesn't have to
be anything fancy or eloquent, but the more he gets the better!

His address is:
Jay Lindsey
Jay's Donuts
2991 Oneal Ln
Baton Rouge, LA 70816-3184

Thanks and Praise for His servants, like Jay,

Tonight (Aug 5)...

Hoping that everyone had (or is having) a great Summer.

If you are heading back to school in the next week or so,
wouldn't a good cup of coffee and a donut be just what the
Dr. ordered to take your mind off of all the "excitement?"

If you are, let's just say, past that point in your life, come
out, too.

In any case bring a friend or two, come make some new ones!

Peace,
Bruce and the 58watt team

Happy 8th of July!

OK - I forgot to include an Independence Day greeting in my last notice, so I'll do it now.

We thank God for our freedom, freedom from sin, death and the power of Satan.
We also that God for each of you and hope to see you at 58watt this week.
We'd love to meet some new folks, too - so bring a friend!

In His Peace,
Bruce and the 58watt staff
